At present, the international situation is undergoing profound changes. Peace and development are still the themes of today's times. World multipolarization and economic globalization continue to develop in twists and turns. Overall peace, local wars, overall relaxation, local tension, overall stability and local turmoil will be the basic trends of the international situation in the coming period.

Peace and development of mankind are still facing challenges that cannot be ignored. The unjust and irrational old international political and economic order has not been fundamentally changed, local wars, tensions and turmoil have broken out one after another, and the gap between the North and the South has further widened. Non-traditional security issues such as terrorism have become more prominent, and uncertainties facing global security have increased.

In the face of new challenges, countries should go beyond traditional concepts, conform to the trend of the times, strengthen exchanges and cooperation, and coordinate closely. We should actively promote multi-polarization of the world and democratization of international relations, strive to establish a new international economic order that adapts to the development level and requirements of all countries, reform the irrational international financial and trade system, and guarantee the right of all countries, especially developing countries, to equal development. We should fully respect the diversity of the development of civilizations in various countries, and all civilizations and development paths should coexist harmoniously, learn from each other's strong points in competition and comparison, and make progress in seeking common ground while reserving differences.
