How to understand anti-marriageism, and what kind of concepts and values ??does it represent?

There are two different views on non-marriage in society. One view is that celibacy is a selfish act that only considers oneself and not others. Another point of view is that non-marriage is an expression of daring to pursue oneself and is the progress of the times. Which view is correct? In my opinion, each view has merit. What ideas and values ??does non-marriage represent?

First, you only have one life, just be yourself. It is difficult for people not to care about the opinions of others. Every move we make is affected by the external environment. For example, in public places, we subconsciously control our speaking voice because we don’t want to disturb other people. A girl in her 20s who says she doesn't want to get married is probably just talking. Due to pressure from the environment, most girls will get married. Women in their 40s say they don’t want to get married. They no longer care so much about the outside world’s opinions and can resist the pressure of the environment and respect their own inner choices.

Second, marriage is not a required question, but an optional one. Each of us lives in society, and the social clock affects us all the time. When we need to study, when we need to get married, the social clock arranges each of our lives properly. But more and more people dare to break through the constraints of the social clock and find their own life clock. The course of our lives should be controlled by ourselves, not by society.

Third, marriage is not the only way to achieve happiness. A girl said to her parents, I don’t want to get married. The parents told the girl that in a few years, when you hear the laughter of the neighbors and see the empty room, as long as you don't feel lost, then you don't need to get married. Indeed, marriage can give us a sense of belonging and make us less lonely. But marriage is not the only way to bring a sense of belonging and happiness. For example, pursue your dreams, gain recognition from others, participate in various activities, etc. Some scientists pursue their dreams throughout their lives, and scientific research activities can give them a sense of belonging.

To a certain extent, non-marriage represents social progress. However, non-marriageism will also have a negative impact on society. However, in my opinion, there is no problem that science and technology cannot solve. If so, it is because science and technology are not developed enough.
