How to learn English?

I think the key to learning English is to learn four skills: listening, speaking, reading and writing.

Reading is the simplest of the four skills. To improve reading level, I think we should mainly start from two aspects:

1, master vocabulary. Without a large vocabulary, reading is bound to encounter difficulties. It doesn't matter if you encounter such difficulties in practice. As long as you put your heart into it, you will find a solution. Slowly your reading level will improve. After you have some experience, look for some other people's experience to summarize (a lot), and you will improve faster and more.

Writing is also relatively easy. Still a vocabulary. As long as you remember all the words in the textbook, including phrases, and use them hard in writing, your composition score will not be low. The teacher will be very happy if he finds that you can use the words and phrases in the textbook when grading.

Speaking and listening are more difficult. If you haven't gone to college, say you can stop practicing for a while. Good listening depends on vocabulary and a lot of training. Just like reading, words or phrases you don't know will definitely appear in your listening. It doesn't matter, the teacher who gave the question also knows this. They don't talk about these words or phrases. So when you hear a new word or phrase that you haven't learned, just skim it and focus on what you can understand. Often it is enough for you to understand these contents.

If you have been to college, you want to improve your oral English and listening. Then you can't do without hard training. You can go to CCTV9 to do listening exercises. Oral English is inseparable from frequent conversations. In order to cope with exams and improve your grades, you need special training in reading and listening. There are many books on this kind of special training now, so you can buy any one. Do one or two articles every day, not much, and you can find that your level will improve day by day. Comprehensive papers need to be done, but those in school are enough.

If you really want to learn English well and communicate with foreigners at will, it really needs you to accumulate over time. Without more than five or six years of special research and efforts, it is impossible to reach this level. If you can engage in a career dealing with foreigners in the future, such as international trade, or have the opportunity to go abroad for further study, it will be very beneficial for your leap in English.
