1. Really understand the difference between visa on arrival and visa exemption. The Maldives is visa-free, and no visa is required for white paper. Of course, it was a smooth entry and exit. It doesn't cost a penny. Unlike going to Indonesia, you still need to apply for an arrival visa after landing. I don’t remember how much it costs.

2. Choose an island in the Maldives. Everyone has the choice syndrome when choosing an island. However, as long as you have a clear goal and don't make changes every few days, choosing an island is actually not that difficult. Our standards are very unified:

a. Five stars or six stars. The upper ones are too expensive and I can’t afford them, and the lower ones feel sorry for us that it took us so long to raise the money and air tickets

b. You must fly around and feel it, especially after watching documentaries. The aerial scenery is very beautiful. In addition, I always feel that the environment and water quality of islands farther away will be better, but it turns out that this is not the case. Once there, even the water next to the airport is crystal clear.

c. There must be a water house, and the water house must accommodate children under 12 years old. Some very high-end hotels do not accept children in their water rooms.

d. You need to have a half-pack (HB) or full-pack (FB) meal, so you don’t have to worry about it yourself. Finally, I found that if HB was enough, FB would definitely be boring and unappetizing.

e. There must be a better snorkeling site. In fact, for really good diving (whether snorkeling or deep diving), you need to sail out to sea. If you want to save trouble, especially if you have children like us, you should book a hotel with a better snorkeling site.

4. Snorkeling. A piece of advice for everyone, long sleeves and long pants (at least knee-length shorts) and a wetsuit are very necessary to prevent sunburn. Sunscreen is useful, but it will still cause tanning and damage the marine ecology. It was very windy and fast, similar to our typhoon. The weather was actually cloudy that day and the next day, with occasional showers and a bit of wind. However, the temperature is pleasant and the sun is not yet shining. There is always a red flag hanging on the beach, indicating that it is not suitable to go to the sea. For those who like to take pictures, the light is not so perfect, but it is also very charming. In the next few days, the sun was shining brightly. I don’t think the locals knew what PS was because they had no use for it. Every landscape photo is a blockbuster as long as the scene is chosen appropriately. One was on the last day, when I was about to leave the island, I was extremely happy and sad. I accidentally had a tiny wooden thorn stuck in the sole of my foot. It's really small. I couldn't squeeze it out even if I squeezed it for a long time. Walking is actually not very painful. But I don’t know what’s going on in my mind. I always feel like there’s something under my feet, and I feel uncomfortable no matter what. When checking out, ask the front desk to ask the doctor from the infirmary to come and take a look. In fact, I think if you give me a piece of rubber glue or tendon plaster, stick it on and then prick it, then peel it off and you should be able to bring out the wood thorns. This is the earthwork of our house. After a long time, the local doctor in white coat on the island came, looked at the condition of my feet, asked me to wait, and went to get the equipment. We "released" him abroad. Our family rescued a large sea turtle. It is said in the island introduction that sea turtles can be seen on MAALIFUSH Island, but they are relatively rare. We saw small sharks and manta rays during those days, but never a turtle. One day after playing paddleboard, I was almost exhausted and walked back to the water house from the beach. The little man and I saw a group of fishing nets at the junction of the beach and the sea. They were floating as the sea water rose and receded. We also complained about why there were fishing nets and the hotel didn't clean them. The old man was very curious, so he walked over and took a look, and found that there was a turtle trapped in the net. We gathered around to take a look, and sure enough, the turtle was entangled in the net. We helped him peel off the net layer by layer, but in the end we found that his forelimbs were tightly entangled in the net, which had been wrapped around several times. The net was embedded in his flesh and had to be cut off with a knife. Two men were taking care of the turtle next to it. I ran to the sports center not far away (that is, the kayak and paddle board center) to find the staff. Xiao Hei quickly returned with me with a knife.
