How time flies! My daughter Sun Xiaoyu is ten years old. In ten years, I witnessed her growth, from a newborn baby to a pupil.

My daughter is a fourth-grade student in Shi Mei Primary School. She has been one of those good children since she was a child. She never lets our parents worry. She is very active in her studies and has a strong independence in her life. She is a monitor every year from Grade One to Grade Three, and has been rated as a "three good students" for many times. Everything went smoothly without any setbacks. But one thing that happened this semester made me feel that my daughter has really grown up.

After entering the fourth grade this year, she was fully prepared and full of confidence the day before running for monitor, but she lost in the end. When she got home that day, she didn't talk much and her mood didn't seem to be very high. At that time, I didn't ask more questions, because from my understanding of her, I knew that things were definitely not as smooth as I thought. Sure enough, in the evening, she told me that the monitor had lost the election, and she was very sad and wronged, fearing that her parents would be disappointed in her. I looked at my daughter's childish face and told her that it doesn't matter if you lose the election, but it also shows that your performance in some aspects is not good enough and comprehensive enough, and needs to be improved. You know that there are mountains outside the mountains and people outside, and you can't always be the best. From now on, you should be more strict with yourself, keep pace with your good classmates and learn from them. The daughter nodded sensibly.

More than a month passed, and I saw an essay in my daughter's exercise book entitled "My Good Classmate", which was about their monitor Ge Yirun. From her words, I can see that she is full of friendship with her classmates and heartfelt admiration for their monitor. I suddenly felt very moved and gratified, because my daughter finally found herself in the gains and losses and was able to get better with her competitors. In today's society, because of fierce competition, Lenovo often does not hesitate to bring harm to its opponents for its own interests. Especially now, children are all only children. They are spoiled at home and have developed a strong self-centered mentality. They must let themselves do everything. If they are slightly unhappy, they will lose their temper. What's more, because of poor endurance, many people will be at a loss when they encounter setbacks, and many people choose to commit suicide. These are all dangerous signals for minors, and they all need timely and correct guidance from our parents. Through my daughter's participation in the election, I feel that my daughter is more sensible than before and has really grown up.

While educating and helping my daughter, it also inspired me. Everyone will always encounter all kinds of problems in their work and life, but don't lose your direction and willpower because of temporary difficulties. They should establish a correct outlook on life, tolerate others and face success or failure bravely.
