Wandering in the Memory of Suzhou Ancient City Wall —— Strolling through the moat

A long time ago, I wanted to hike the moat in Suzhou and learn about the history of the ancient Gusu city wall. From Nagato to Jiafu, Daiyu began to understand the history of Suzhou city walls, which began with A Dream of Red Mansions. The impregnable city wall, the original protector of Gusu City, is a moat outside the city. There are many ancient battle towers on the Great Wall, eight of which have been restored, namely Nagato, Xu Pan.

It happened that Slow Life organized a walking activity around the moat, and I quickly signed up. First, let's meet in osmanthus park, introduce each other, and then start hiking! On the way, Xiao Yi, the tour leader, introduced us to the three scenes of Panmen and the fortifications of the ancient city wall, which contained the wisdom of the ancients. For me, I prefer to know different people and scenes with my heart. On both sides of the trail around the city wall, azaleas and Coreopsis are competing to open, and the moat in front of us is sparkling under the sunlight. Several egrets and night herons fly over the moat from time to time, which makes life quiet. The ancient city wall also records the changes of Suzhou people's life.

During hiking, I also saw many aunts and grandfathers dancing, singing, walking and running. Even the roaring spring breeze can't stop their enthusiasm, showing a picture of the comfortable life of the old Suzhou people! Gusu City under the protection of the ancient moat and the newly-built fitness trail protect the health of Suzhou people in another way. Like outdoor activities, a group of strangers, chatting without bad feelings, simply sharing life and happiness! Look forward to seeing you next time and live slowly!
