Understand the definition of good painting and bad painting.

Painting has only the difference between liking and not liking. People who like painting are poor at first, but because they like painting, they will keep practicing and learning, and sooner or later they will draw well. A person who doesn't really like painting for a long time may paint well for a while, but he loses his love and neglects to use a pen. No matter how good a pen is, it will get worse sooner or later. Therefore, painting is not absolutely good or bad.

Once you feel that your painting is not good, or your novice painter has been hit, don't give up and look down on yourself.

Melody is a student in the first phase of my Illustrator Dream Camp. She painted a picture and got a master's degree in university of the arts london. It has been about half a year since last September, and I have cooperated with the publishing house for three picture books, and the fourth one is also scheduled. Although this is an example, it is impossible for everyone to make such rapid progress and change so much. I can't just give you a bloody example, but there is a path to follow. Draw slowly and stick to it. Don't be afraid to draw badly.

2) Make hobbies a habit and avoid interference.

Avoiding self-interference is self-discipline, but trivial troubles are inevitable around you. The biggest interference is that family members are friends. The so-called interference is the lack of communication with them, which makes family members feel neglected. Second, family members feel that painting has no future and wastes time. At this time, be patient and persuade, and don't get upset. Hobbies can hardly replace the benefits to one's body and mind. And times are different, hobbies can be realized, as long as you dare to think and do it. Slowly they will understand.

What's more, "people can't be intimate without' addiction'."

Besides painting, take care of things at home. If you don't handle this aspect well, you will be in a bad mood to draw at home. Don't care if your friends laugh at it or don't like it. There are only a few people in your life, coming and going, and everyone has their own life, just like a bus, get off at the station.

3. Determine the stage objectives

Painting has three stages:

The initial stage of chaos. Uneasy about basic exercises, I can't wait to become a big touch at once, and I feel that my painting is not good and I don't want to stick to it. This is a very anxious state of mind. Pay attention to your own essential progress and often think about what progress this painting has made compared with the last one.

One way is to set a goal, for example, I will take time to draw two pictures this week, how big to draw, what kind of exercises to do on purpose, and so on. Or draw a picture every day, draw a stick figure or sketch quickly and so on. Give yourself a goal and pressure.

The medium-term stage will become clear. Gradually clear the degree and effect you want.

The advanced stage will be more organized. Strengthen basic exercises, such as animals, people, scenery and scenes. And try to make creative breakthroughs with different painting tools in the existing style.

4) In understanding the loneliness of life, walk with the same kind.

People are born lonely, and many friends tell me privately that it is difficult for friends who don't paint together to stick to it. Not everyone who paints is surrounded by a group of painting friends at first. Even with such friends, please believe that life is lonely. Maybe one day when you leave, you will be apart. Don't pin your painting motivation on others.

We should know that life is inherently lonely. However, our companions are all single independent planets attracted by ourselves. When we persist, there will be more and more friends around us, and we believe in the law of attraction.

Gege once felt very lonely on this road. Although I studied art design in college, there are very few people around me who insist on painting after graduation. Please stick to it and find your own kind, so that your kind can find you.

How to attract your own kind in the world? Publish more paintings or exercises, interact with simple friends, and actively seek painting communities. Many teachers will have their own painting groups and talk about painting every day. Naturally, if they touch these things every day, they will be more motivated and unconsciously draw!
