① BSIC is mainly used for mobile stations to identify BTS or sectors of adjacent different base transceiver stations using the same carrier frequency, especially for identifying base stations in border areas of different countries.
② Generally, different BSIC codes are allocated to different adjacent base stations or sectors using the same carrier frequency.
③ BSIC is a 6-bit code with the following structure.
NCC(3 digits)-PLMN network color code BCC(3 digits)-BTS color code
NCC is the network color code of PLMN, which is used to uniquely identify different PLMNs in neighboring countries.
BCC is a base station color code, which is used to uniquely identify neighboring BTS using the same carrier frequency.
