The Historical Evolution of Weihai Municipal Hospital

After the failure of the Sino-Japanese War of 1894-1895, the British government leased Ahava, and in 1904, it established the British People's Hospital, the predecessor of Weihai Municipal Hospital. 1930, Ahava was reclaimed by the National Government, and the British People's Hospital was renamed as Ahava Public Hospital.

After the baptism of War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression, the Liberation War and the Korean War, ahava public hospital was renamed Weihai Municipal Hospital on 1956.

1987, Weihai, a prefecture-level city, was proclaimed.

1988, the new weihai municipal hospital was established. Today, the municipal hospital has built an imaging building, a surgical building and an outpatient building. In July 2004, in order to change the medical environment, improve the quality of medical services, and further meet the medical needs of the people, the hospital built a comprehensive building for special inspection ward, with an investment of 65.438+0.6 billion yuan and a total construction area of 40,000 square meters.
