How to evaluate Miyazaki Hayao's City in the Sky?

The City of the Sky is the pinnacle of Miyazaki Hayao. One of the main themes of Miyazaki Hayao's works is anti-war, peace and sincere feelings between people. All these elements are embodied in the work City in the Sky. Simple painting style and perfect characterization are all amazing in the description of the background of the times. At first glance, it is difficult for me to understand Miyazaki Hayao's painting style, because today, his colors and characters' faces are really "old", but I am still moved by his stories. I saw the beautiful love between Hida and Parker, a princess who is about to inherit a huge fortune, and a miner who is deep in the bottom. Parker spared no effort to save Hida, and Hida gave her most naive self to Parker.
