At the same time, I hope everyone can communicate more, learn more from each other, investigate and study more, and never pat your head and think what you want! Counselors should be self-reliant. Although there is not much material reward for your efforts now, most students will never forget your enthusiasm and dedication! And this is our values!

First of all, there is no doubt that students should mainly study professional knowledge when studying in university. However, if a student has only mastered professional knowledge, but not a vague and clear understanding of the world, society, others, life and so on through other aspects, then even if he has mastered professional knowledge, even if he finds a job envied by others only by relying on professional skills after graduation, there will be no smooth or even satisfactory future! There is a simple reason. People's survival in society is not just a monotonous job like a machine. People need to communicate with each other, and people need to find out why they live or exist like this, all of which depend on non-professional technical cognition and reflection. That is, students study in universities. Although their professional prospects are bright and there are some excellent professional teachers, some students are still not interested in learning. Why? The main reason is that he may not be interested in his major, or he may have doubts about his life. This kind of life knowledge is not only knowledge, but also more important than professional technology to some extent. Because this knowledge is the driving force of students' vigorous study and life, and the soul of students' goals and ideals. This knowledge is acquired through the teaching or self-study of humanities teachers, but mainly through the work of counselors. Counselors, formerly known as political counselors, are mainly responsible for guiding students to have correct ideology, including national ideology, social cognition, interpersonal communication, psychology, morality, and resistance to setbacks. Especially in the era of rapid social development and change, people can't adapt to society, and various psychological and even social problems appear. It is even more necessary to strengthen guidance and education in this regard. Not everyone can master all the above knowledge, but everyone has one aspect that he is good at. They let students feel, understand and learn imperceptibly through lectures (in the form of class meetings), individual conversations, or guiding students' collective activities (peer education is the most effective). In order to improve the professional knowledge and skills of counselors, the Ministry of Education has issued the Professional Competence Standard for Counselors. Schools, provincial university working committees and the Ministry of Education should organize college, provincial and national counselors' professional competence competitions every year. We know that teachers have a lecture competition, but the counselor's professional ability competition is to draw questions on the spot and simulate answers on the spot. Counselors' professional ability competition is no simpler than the classroom teaching of professional teachers! The value of a counselor lies in completing his own educational guidance task by better handling trivial matters that others think. Because of this, the Ministry of Education stipulates that front-line counselors have dual identities: first, they are professional teachers, and second, they are management teams, and each counselor must have the qualification certificate of psychological counselor or career instructor. After the implementation of the class tutorial system, not to mention how many teachers put in much energy, but in terms of professional knowledge, privately, according to the "Professional Competence Standard for Counselors" of the Ministry of Education, teachers may not be as good as counselors in this respect. There are specialties in the technical field, and counselors are basically excellent graduates of 2 1 1 colleges and universities. Although some of them are young and inexperienced, who can deny the professional ability they have today and must have tomorrow?

3. A person's development is like eating whole grains. There are many aspects of knowledge needed, and professional knowledge and ability are indispensable, but so are knowledge and ability outside the major. The development of students needs all-round quality improvement. It is too narrow to measure the success or failure of education simply by how much professional knowledge students have mastered. A student, who doesn't understand the world, national conditions and interpersonal communication (even the hidden rules of society should be known, of course, this is not to encourage everyone to practice hidden rules), only has mastered a little professional technology. How much prospect can he have?

Also, each class has a head teacher, so the number of counselors can be completely reduced. Implication: Professional teachers can replace counselors. In this regard, I think this is simply a false proposition. As far as a person is concerned, his energy is limited. Besides professional teaching and scientific research, how much time and energy do professional teachers have to master the knowledge and skills needed to do a good job in student work? Students had an accident in the middle of the night. Are you going or not? To deal with the incident, can you have a good class the next day? Can I turn on the phone 24 hours a day to answer students' calls? The purpose of the class tutor in the school is mainly to enable professional teachers to give students strong guidance in their spare time in the professional development that teachers are good at. It is unrealistic to let professional teachers replace counselors!

5. What is the relationship between teachers and counselors? Are they mutually cooperative or mutually exclusive? As a counselor who has worked in the front line for a long time, I agree with most counselors and teachers that teachers and counselors are cooperative, and both teachers and counselors play an important and irreplaceable role in cultivating students' growth and development. However, this very clear problem has not been solved by individual teachers or even leaders, or they think that counselors are as important as teachers, but they still look down on counselors. Let's look at the reason why we can't afford counselors. It's nothing more than that counselors just deal with some students' trivial matters all day, with no technical content. How can they compare with teachers who master professional skills to teach students professional skills, so that students can have a good employment outlet after graduation? This reason, at first glance, makes sense, but a closer look reveals many loopholes!

6. Secondly, in the eyes of individual professional teachers, counselors deal with trivial matters. The implication is of little value. Indeed, in the eyes of us adults, what great things can students do! But these things, in the eyes of students, are not trivial. Students are in a semi-social state, their psychology is not really mature, their social experience is relatively shallow, and there are too many puzzles in their lives, such as interpersonal disputes, emotional entanglements and academic development. These puzzles are extremely difficult in their hearts. Many rural students are introverted, and they are even more reluctant to talk about these problems with others to find solutions. In this state, some students take the initiative to find counselors to solve problems, whether it is ideological problems or life safety problems such as water leakage and low heating in dormitories. Counselors should seriously help students solve problems. For some problems that counselors don't want to know, counselors should also take the initiative to talk to students. The handling of these things is definitely not that easy. For the contradiction between students in a single dormitory, counselors need to do students' ideological work repeatedly. This is also the reason why the school administrative organs are willing to choose from counselors when they need additional staff-they have rich work experience. We believe that students can take the initiative to find counselors if they have problems, which is a great trust in teachers! Decades later, the small things that counselors solve for students will often become major events that students will always remember. In addition, counselors have to undertake many organizational tasks of student activities, including school-level and provincial-level student education and cultural activities, as well as extracurricular cultural activities organized by colleges. Of course, some people may think (sometimes including ourselves) that some activities have no quality and are purely situational, but it is undeniable that many students have been trained and improved their quality in such extracurricular cultural activities. Some teachers think that people engaged in organizational support are of little use, and other activities are unnecessary and meaningful except their own professional activities. Here, I have to say that professional and technical personnel, even at the doctor or postdoctoral level, can only show that they have deep professional attainments, but they can never assert that they have extensive knowledge and broad horizons. Teachers with the above knowledge should really learn organizational management and behavior. Organization management is a profound knowledge. Without organization, all activities will be greatly reduced and social order will be difficult to guarantee. Some national and provincial-level large-scale activities can last for one year, and counselors need to spend a lot of energy to mobilize organization and coordination, such as the "Challenge Cup" national extracurricular academic and scientific research works competition for college students and the business plan competition. How can this be worthless in the eyes of individual teachers? We should vigorously support the activities of student associations. Student associations are non-governmental organizations spontaneously organized based on students' hobbies. It has a good effect on overcoming the deep-seated problems such as narrow interpersonal circle and difficulty in finding their own home, and improving students' various qualities (peer self-education of students has the best effect again and again). However, because it is a spontaneous organization, it is free to come and go, it is difficult to organize and there is a shortage of funds, so it needs more support. There is even more outrageous conclusion: student associations give strong support to their achievements, and when they make achievements, other associations will also support them. Schools and teachers are iron camps, and students are mobile soldiers. Making achievements in student associations requires students' enthusiasm and years of accumulation. Some societies have a good foundation, but those that have not made achievements should be supported. How can you make such a statement? It should be said that the school has 128 registered societies, which have played a great role in invigorating campus cultural life and cultivating students' minds. Having said that, I think most people will no longer treat the things handled by counselors as trivial matters! For these trivial things, professional teachers will no longer easily think that they are easy to handle!

7. Third, counselors pay a lot. The so-called pay is the ratio of one's own labor to one's own harvest. In terms of time and energy, it is undeniable that counselors are working 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. How much can they get besides their salary? Even if counselors use their professional skills to run classes in their spare time, the student affairs office explicitly prohibits them. Because, if students have something to do after school, the counselor is just to help students deal with things in class! In addition, the Political and Educational Affairs Office explicitly prohibits counselors from attending more classes during normal hours, because this will dilute their student work. Although our professional teachers are also facing great pressure in teaching and scientific research, everyone has invested a lot of energy. Good teaching and scientific research, regardless of reputation or professional title, should be followed by social services in their spare time! Excuse me, who has interfered with the class running of professional teachers in their spare time? Who has interfered with professional teachers to earn income for social services? How difficult it is for counselors to evaluate and hire their professional titles and promote their positions now, so that a few counselors want to change jobs and leave. I am afraid that many professional teachers don't understand this!
