Why did CM Punk leave WWE?

Former WWE superstar CM Punk recently talked about the reasons for his departure from WWE for the first time on Colt Cabana’s podcast. In this interview, Punk went into great detail. He broke down the details of his departure from WWE and talked about his health and more. The following is a highlight review:

Punk pointed out that his silent departure from WWE after "Royal Rumble 2014" was mainly due to poor health. He said that in the last few months of working in WWE , in poor health, with broken ribs, a concussion and an injured knee. Especially during the WWE European tour last November, my physical condition was not optimistic. I would suffer from severe nausea and retching after every game. I even had fever and loss of appetite for several months. WWE doctors gave him lots of antibiotics, which led to his accident in the SmackDown ring. The situation was not good, and naturally his salary was shrinking. Punk said that that period could be said to be the worst period of his life.

During the "Royal Rumble" match, he accidentally suffered a concussion, but continued to work after that. Soon after, he underwent a concussion test. The doctor said that Punk did not have a concussion, but Punk said that the test was a fool's errand because WWE then asked Punk to run the side ropes to evaluate whether he had signs of concussion. Punk then asked WWE doctors to diagnose him as having a concussion. In addition, Punk admitted that he did hold on and refused to admit that he was injured.

Punk said that on the day of the concussion test, WWE ignored Punk's request and instead put pressure on him to take a drug test and sign a visa to tour overseas. Punk then told Vince McMahon and Triple H that he was going home. Punk also pointed out that in 2011, when his career was at its peak, HHH suppressed him, and he bitterly rebuked HHH for this. Additionally, he accused Vince of burying his talent. He also told two WWE executives that it was bullshit that Daniel Bryan was not considered for the main event of "WrestleMania 30"! Punk also told them that he would never do this again and that it was over. Vince finally hugged Punk with tears and said goodbye to Punk, saying that Punk will always be a member of the WWE family.

However, WWE fired Punk after his departure. He left the company in January, weeks after Vince McMahon informed Punk via text message that he had been suspended for two months. The day after receiving Vince's text message, Vince informed WWE shareholders that Punk was currently on vacation. However, what Punk didn't know was that with the end of the suspension came a letter of dismissal. Just before and after Punk's wedding in June, Punk was officially fired by WWE for breach of contract.

Because WWE claimed that Punk violated his contract, Punk said that he even filed a lawsuit against WWE. However, in the end, WWE compromised and privately signed a mediation contract with Punk to resolve the issue. Punk said that the details of the contract were not available to be announced. Punk also said that he and WWE have officially said goodbye and will not have any further cooperation in the future. WWE wanted to sign a joint statement with Punk, but Punk bluntly told WWE to "fuck off."
