"Deep Sea No.1" is China's first special survey ship with international advanced level. It is designed and built according to the principles of greening, informationization, modularization, convenience, comfort and internationalization. Designed by CSSC 708 Research Institute, Deep Sea-1 is 90.2 meters long, 16.8 meters wide, and its endurance exceeds14,000 nautical miles. It has the ability to navigate in the global infinite navigation area. It is equipped with various laboratories with an area of more than 300m2 and a dedicated 6000m unmanned cable-controlled submersible operating system, which can meet the needs of scientific investigation and data processing. At the same time, the technical design is made in energy saving and noise reduction.

The ship can not only provide suitable underwater and surface support for the deep diving operation of Jiaolong, but also have the ability of field data processing and analysis.

Jiaolong is a manned submersible independently designed and developed by China. June 20 12, a record of 7,062m manned diving in China was set in Mariana Trench, which is also the record of the largest diving depth of similar submersible in the world.
