Can I refund the train ticket after it is issued?

After the train ticket is issued, it can be refunded before the train leaves. It should be noted that if the ticket is refunded more than 48 hours before departure, the refund fee will be charged at 5% of the original fare. Refund fee will be charged at 10% of the original fare if the ticket is refunded 24 to 48 hours before driving. If the ticket is refunded less than 24 hours before driving, the refund fee will be charged at 20% of the original fare. However, after the train leaves, you can't apply for a refund. If it is a special reason, you can apply for a refund within two hours after the train leaves after consultation with the station staff.

Time of receipt of train ticket refund:

1. After buying train tickets online, passengers only need to refund their tickets online if they don't go to the train station to exchange paper tickets. Usually, the refund of the train ticket will be returned to the passenger's account within 15 working days.

Passengers have bought train tickets online and exchanged them for paper tickets at the railway station. In this case, passengers need to bring their valid personal documents to the ticket window of the station for refund. The refund of train tickets will generally be returned to the passenger's account within 20 working days.

Legal basis: Article 48 of the Regulations on Railway Passenger Transport.

When a passenger requests a refund, it shall be handled in accordance with the following provisions, and a refund fee shall be charged:

1. Passengers must refund their tickets at the ticketing station or the ticketing station;

2. Before the departure station, under special circumstances, all the fares can be refunded within 2 hours after driving, and group passengers must handle it 48 hours before driving;

3. Passengers can't refund their tickets after they start to travel. However, if you can't continue to travel due to injury, you can refund the difference between the received fare and the already-traveled interval fare after confirmation by the station and the bus. When the passenger interval is less than the minimum mileage, it shall be calculated according to the minimum mileage and treated equally;

4. When returning the ticket stamped with the word "line", you should go through the formalities for baggage change first;

5. Tickets changed within 2 hours after driving with the consent of the stationmaster due to special circumstances are not refundable;

6. Platform tickets cannot be refunded.
