Do you want to add the weather forecast desktop widget to the desktop?

Long press the desktop, and there is a+sign below the notification bar time. Click Add Widget.

If you want to add software to the desktop, just drag it from the main interface menu to the desktop. (Software download defaults to the main interface menu, unlike Xiaomi iPhone, which has no main interface menu. )
