? China used the information network to slander others, and the same defamatory information was actually clicked, browsed more than 5000 times or forwarded more than 500 times, which may constitute libel.

? According to the Interpretation of the Supreme People's Court and the Supreme People's Procuratorate on Several Issues Concerning the Application of Laws in Handling Criminal Cases of Information Network Defamation, if the same defamatory information is actually clicked and viewed more than 5,000 times, or forwarded more than 500 times, it shall be deemed as "serious" defamation, which constitutes the crime of defamation as stipulated in Article 246 of the Criminal Law, and shall be sentenced to fixed-term imprisonment of not more than three years, criminal detention, public surveillance or deprivation of political rights.

According to Article 246 of the Criminal Law of People's Republic of China (PRC), the crime of insult and libel refers to the act of publicly insulting others or fabricating facts to slander others by violence or other means. If the circumstances are serious, they shall be sentenced to fixed-term imprisonment of not more than three years, criminal detention, public surveillance or deprivation of political rights. The crimes mentioned in the preceding paragraph, except those that seriously endanger social order and national interests, can only be dealt with by telling. If the victim informs the people's court of the acts specified in the first paragraph through the information network, but it is really difficult to provide evidence, the people's court may request the public security organ to provide assistance.
