What do you think of Ren's speech at the National Science and Technology Conference?

I was particularly moved by teacher Ren's words. My industry is a traditional industry, and the technology I use now is the same as that of decades ago, and so is the general situation in China. The first time I saw his speech, I felt that our industry has also reached no man's land, and there has been no outstanding technological innovation for decades. I think we should also invest more money in basic research. However, the idea has changed now. In fact, the gap between us and the United States is not in design, but in technology and quality management. I think for most small and medium-sized enterprises, it is far from reaching the no-man's land like Huawei. We still have many engineering problems to solve. If we pursue theoretical innovation in this state, it may be just a castle in the air. I hope that more small and medium-sized enterprises will make small innovations and make small steps forward, which does not necessarily require a lot of capital investment. It is important that we have a down-to-earth scientific research attitude.
