Routine 1: Inform the insured that the (electronic) social security card is abnormal or disabled.

Criminals send fraudulent short messages through overseas mobile phone numbers (+0082 is the overseas number), claiming to be the staff of the social security bureau service hotline 12333, and asking for personal information such as ID number, social security card number, name and password. Fraud is committed on the grounds of "abnormal social security card will be forcibly terminated", "social security card upgrade" and "electronic social security card approved", or requiring remittance to a designated account to pay the handling fee.

Common scenarios: requesting login via SMS (the website in the information is a fraudulent phishing website), uploading information from a fake website or signing an electronic agreement, and handling an entity social security card or an electronic social security card. Otherwise, individual insurance contributions and pensions will be frozen, stopped or affected, and the uploaded information will be used for transfer, consumption, overdraft and loan.

Routine 2: Remind the insured that the social security card has been stolen.

Send a short message to inform the insured that "your social security card was spent (overdrawn/stolen) in a foreign hospital, and it has been handed over to the public security organ for handling because of the large amount involved. In order to ensure the security of the account, it is necessary to verify key information such as "social security card password and ID number", and then put forward other excuses to ask the insured to transfer funds to the designated account.

Common plot: In the name of social security agencies, public security departments, etc., the victim's social security card is said to be suspected of fraud, theft or major criminal cases, and requested assistance in the investigation. Take advantage of the victim's fear, ask for the social security card number, password and SMS verification code, or ask the victim to remit the money to the designated account on the grounds of verifying the funds.

Routine 3: Take "fake documents" and "preferential policies" as bait.

Forge false documents, or pretend to be the staff of social security institutions, in the name of providing "preferential" policies, trick the insured into handling social security card concessions by telephone, text messages, etc., and ask the insured to transfer money to the bank to commit fraud in the name of handling social security cards.

Common story: In the form of telephone or short message, it is claimed that the social security card can be processed through internal procedures through internal personnel and relevant institutions, and the victims can enjoy the privileges of receiving subsidies, repaying loans on their behalf, or paying tax incentives, so that they can remit money to designated accounts.

The Anti-Fraud Center of Harbin Public Security Bureau reminds you that the short message sent by the human resources and social security department for handling social security card or business will not be accompanied by any website or link, and the cardholder does not need to enter any personal privacy information such as name, ID number and financial account number. Cardholders need to be vigilant and check their social security cards with the issuing bank or local social security card handling agency through formal channels to avoid being deceived.
