Experience in interviewing for JD.com operations positions
Jingdong operation position interview experience
Position type: Operation
Recruiting company: Jingdong
Interview After going through several rounds, big and small, I will introduce the specific process to you below.
One side:
One side is a group meeting, with about 8 people in each group, and our group was 9 people. Everyone entered the classroom and sat in that row, and HR started the interview.
HR did not ask everyone to start with a prepared self-introduction, but asked everyone to introduce their own club experiences and feelings. I was the fifth one to speak. I had some preparation time. I avoided repeating words to everyone. I chose more representative ones and summarized them into a few points. My voice was clearer and louder. After this round, HR asked some small questions for everyone. In the end, when HR asked everyone to choose the team member they felt more comfortable with, about four people chose me. I moved on to the next round.
At this stage, almost all 9 of us have rich club experience. I think it is meaningless to just list each of our activities. What HR wants to hear is what you did during this experience that you think is important, what effects it had, and what you gained. It should be expressed with emotion, from the heart, and let others think: Hey, she was talking about the difficulties I faced, and she solved them well.
I still have my notes at that time, and I can probably find my own answer:
(1) In the work of the society, I mainly focus on four tasks: 1. Focus on innovation (for example) 2. Adjust measures to individual circumstances (example). 3. Team building: a. Be diligent and pragmatic to reduce internal friction (example); b. Create your own team’s LOGO, (example); c. Strengthen team cohesion (example). 4. Establish a good image of the entire team and focus on building the team image, just like the XX aspect of JD.com.
(2) My experience in this process: 1. Be honest with your team and be willing to sacrifice your own interests at critical moments. 2. Pay attention to learning, absorb the strengths of others, make up for your own shortcomings and help others grow. 3. Once you decide, stick to it.
(3) What did I get: 1. Improved my ability to withstand stress. 2. It strengthened my courage to accept challenges (example). 3. Learn to think from others’ perspective (example). Due to time constraints, all examples are in just a few words and should be kept concise.
It is best to have some personal characteristics that best match JD.com’s employment standards. About two hours after all the interviews, I received the notification from the second interview.
Second interview:
This interview was still with the two HRs, no leadership group interview. The question is a not very typical leaderless group interview question. It gives 13 options and asks you to list the three most important points and the three least important points that you think are important for the operation and growth of a company. The options probably include three categories: management, employee, and XXX (can't remember clearly). Those who speak too little are likely to be ignored by team members, and those who speak without quality are likely to have their recognition reduced. I didn’t have a timer in this round, I didn’t make a summary speech on behalf of the group, and I didn’t dare to be so strong (I was too strong when I faced Huawei before, and I was very upset after being rejected). Have your own opinions, insist on your own opinions being adopted in the end, and try not to make other team members ignore you or target you. So enter the next round.
I don’t have much to say in this session. It’s hard to control the leaderless group meeting. Sometimes I’m not sure how I want to express myself. I often change with the situation, but I still have to do it. Own. Subverting yourself just for the sake of an interview is neither advisable nor long-lasting.
1. Job matching test:
I think this step is to be loyal to yourself within the time limit. You can give yourself some time to think about a few issues, but you still have to do it. Be true to yourself. Because the same questions will appear repeatedly before and after, there are polygraph tests. When I was doing the latter part, I wasn't sure what I had chosen in the previous part. Anyway, I chose whatever I thought.
The questions are very large, and they just don’t let you think about which choice is best for you.
2. Submit materials and have a small interview:
The text messages and emails said that you need to submit a bunch of materials like this, but there is no interview. After sending it, they asked me again about my position and working location. Jingdong paid great attention to this. Although I said I accepted the job rotation, subconsciously I still wanted to work locally, so a slight oversight in my expression would still be seen as my final choice of work location. Because HR emphasized that this session was not an interview, I was relatively relaxed and talked about my parents and family. My sister settled abroad, so I was left with my parents. They wanted to be closer. I was a little worried at the time that they thought I had to be in Wuhan, so I changed my mind and said that my boyfriend was from the north and wanted to go north with me after graduation. Now that the high-speed rail from Beijing to Wuhan is completed, it will be very convenient and quick for me to visit my parents, etc. . After talking about my family, I was asked to talk about my boyfriend. I gave a brief introduction. The HR asked me to talk about my boyfriend in English. It took about ten seconds to prepare. The explanation was not very organized. It mainly talked about my boyfriend’s personality and how he treats his family and friends. Ways and so on.
Perhaps it was HR's way of creating a pressure-free atmosphere and emphasizing that there would be no interviews, but it was at this stage that they got the information they wanted.
Jingdong attaches great importance to whether you can accept long-term job rotations and frequent business trips after taking up the job. Other basic conditions, such as hard work, steadfastness and integrity, need no further explanation and are difficult to examine. I personally feel that the rotation time may be longer than announced. By repeatedly asking questions about the position and work location, HR can still roughly determine whether the person meets the needs of the position.
Final interview:
1. Record a one-minute self-introduction video on site.
My narrative mode is to introduce myself as a product on JD.com. I simulate myself as the host of the "JD.com New Product Recommendation Column" and introduce myself as a product, my basic situation, experience, expertise, advantages, etc. wait. Maybe it's different from others, just to impress viewers among the many videos. I think if I were HR, I would be tired of the list-type self-introduction. So after thinking about it, I still adopted this more adventurous form of expression. Some people may not like it and think I am not solemn or serious enough, but I think it is novel and lively enough.
2. Interview with the boss
We are a group of four children and four bosses. Let me introduce myself first, because these bosses have never met us before, so when I introduce myself, I still introduce myself more comprehensively. Then there are the questions about the details and majors of the resume, so you can’t fake your experience and experience, and you can’t pretend to understand when asked slightly professional questions.
The person on my right is said to be the Vice President of HR. He mainly asked me two questions, related to my experience and major. (In this interview, I laid out some key points in my resume and self-introduction. , guiding the boss to ask questions, and he did ask the question as I expected), but the answer was not good, nervousness, fatigue and poor mood all affected my performance. I was very emotionally fragile that day, and I kept pinching myself during the interview. The hand tells myself to focus on the current emotional expression, but it's not ideal.
The second boss on the left asked each of us to tell one of the most embarrassing things that happened during his college years. This issue also needs to be grasped well, so as not to highlight one's own character flaws and inadequacies in handling problems. Highlight your own advantages too obliquely.
The third person on the left asked me a question, what do you think is the most important thing to do in the operation of the company? Answer three points. Since the previous research was relatively thorough, he was quite satisfied with my answer.
The above is the entire interview process. I hope these experience introductions will be helpful to everyone. ;
