How does Apple open SMS files?

Apple (mobile phone) has the following steps to open the SMS file:

1. Connect your Apple phone to your computer, and then open iTunes.

2. Select your phone in iTunes.

3. Click the Summary tab and select Backup.

4. In the backup list, select the backup you want to restore, and then click Restore.

5. Wait for the recovery process to complete, and then find the sms.db file on your computer.

6. Double-click the sms.db file to open the database file stored by sms.
