Why can't banks check the digital RMB balance?

1. As an electronic currency, digital RMB will involve personal privacy information when trading and storing data. In order to protect users' personal privacy, banks need to ensure that only authorized personnel can view relevant information to prevent information leakage and improper use.

2. The security of digital RMB is also an important consideration. In order to prevent hacker attacks and malicious manipulation, digital RMB has adopted multi-layer encryption and security measures. Banks will not easily disclose sensitive information such as the account balance of digital RMB to the outside world to ensure the safety of users' funds.

3. The Central Bank of China is responsible for the issuance and management of digital RMB, while banks only assume the role of depository and trading of digital RMB, and do not fully grasp all the information of users. Banks can provide transaction records and related services in digital RMB, but they have no right to directly inquire about the balance of users.
