What does TCL mean?

TCL Group Co., Ltd. was established in 198 1, headquartered in Huizhou City, Guangdong Province, south of China, and listed in Shenzhen and Hong Kong (Shenzhen: TCL Group 000100; Hong Kong: TCL International 1070). In the past 23 years, TCL Group has developed rapidly and steadily, especially since the 1990s, with an average annual growth rate of 42.65% in 12, becoming one of the fastest-growing industrial manufacturing enterprises in China. At present, TCL Group is mainly engaged in R&D, production, sales and service of color TV, mobile phone, telephone, personal computer, air conditioner, refrigerator, washing machine, switch, socket and lighting lamp, among which color TV, mobile phone, telephone and personal computer are in a leading position in the domestic market.

In August, 2004, TTE, the world's largest color TV enterprise, which was jointly invested by TCL and Thomson of France and controlled by TCL, officially opened for operation, marking that the world map of color TV industry was rewritten. In April 2004, TCL signed a memorandum of understanding with Alcatel France to establish a joint venture company, which is engaged in the research, development, production and sales of mobile phones and related products and services. At present, the joint venture company has been officially put into operation.
