The job responsibilities of the mayor’s hotline are as follows:

1. Promote the principles and policies of the party and the government, reflect social conditions and public opinion, and assist leaders in handling hot and difficult social issues;

2. Responsible for accepting the masses’ criticisms, opinions, suggestions and demands on government work, and reflecting important social issues and major emergencies;

Legal basis: Article 14 of the "Regulations on the Disclosure of Government Information of the People's Republic of China"

Administrative agencies should establish and improve the confidentiality review mechanism for government information release and clarify the review procedures and responsibility.
