IPad Air 2 can receive text messages, but can't send them.

The information on the iPad can be used to send text messages with Apple products.

The method is as follows:

1, enter the setting item,

2. Locate the message item and click Enter.

3. Enable iMessage to adjust the open state.

4. Enable Send Read Receipt,

5. If you want to change or add a mailbox in iMessage, please enable Receiving Method.

6. Then log in with an Apple ID.

7. If you want to use the mailbox title in iMessage, please enable Show Title Bar.

8. Then you can add friends to chat.
