Article 5 The age of marriage for servicemen shall not be earlier than 22 for men and 20 for women. Conscripts are not allowed to apply for marriage during their active service, and students in military academies are not allowed to apply for marriage during their undergraduate and junior college studies.

Article 6 A soldier's marriage partner should be politically reliable, ideologically progressive and morally noble. Soldiers may not marry under any of the following circumstances.

(1) Belonging to a foreign citizen or stateless person;

(2) Having obtained overseas permanent residence qualification or long-term residence permit;

(three) do not meet the requirements of the military political assessment of the spouse related political requirements;

(4) Other circumstances in which marriage is explicitly prohibited by laws and regulations.
