How to set up and use the alert function of the MT4 trading platform

Step 1: Create an "alert".

Investors can find the "Alert" option on the menu bar and right-click the mouse. At this time, they can find the "Create" option on the sub-column and click "Create".

Step 2: Select the "Alarm" mode.

The "Create" function will pop up a dialog box, which is the setting of the alarm mode. The "alarm" methods provided by the MT4 trading platform include:

(1) Sound (sound alarm). When the price reaches the preset conditions, music will be played to remind investors to pay attention.

(2)Notification (pop-up window alert). When the preset conditions are reached, a pop-up window will be used to warn investors.

(3)Mail (email alert). When the price reaches the preset conditions, an email will be sent to remind investors. If the investor's email address is enabled for SMS notifications, the content of the email alarm will be forwarded to the mobile phone immediately.

(4)File (Program Alert). When the price reaches the preset conditions, the system will automatically execute a certain program.

Step 3: Fill in the preset conditions.

After selecting the alarm method, the next step is to fill in the preset conditions. The preset conditions include: "Bidlt;", "Bidgt;"; "Asklt;", "Askgt;" ("Time=").

Among them, Bid refers to sending an alarm when the price is greater than a certain value, Ask is a conditional statement, and Time refers to the time when the alarm is sent.

Under normal circumstances, investors commonly use Bid. For example: if the product is gold, set Bid to Bidgt; 3000, the maintenance time is 10Sec, and the number of repetitions is 50 times. It means: when the gold price is greater than 3000, the system needs to issue an alarm.
