Bacheng is located in a low-lying area east of Taihu Lake. Before 2003, the total area was 53.66 square kilometers, about 80,490 mu, and the water area was 23,529 mu, accounting for 29.23% of the total area, belonging to Yangcheng Lake Group. The overall terrain is high in the north and south and low in the middle.

Flowers: Camellia, Rhododendron, Rose, Celosia cristata, Impatiens, Narcissus, Chrysanthemum, Magnolia grandiflora, Begonia, Jasmine, Milan, Snow, Canna, Asparagus, Cactus and Cedar.

Medicinal materials: Fructus Lycii, Herba Plantaginis, Herba Lysimachiae Christinae, Herba Leonuri, Herba et Gemma Agrimoniae, Herba Eupatorii, Herba Menthae, Herba Lobeliae Chinensis, and Radix Ilex.
