First, keep learning. In the so-called era of change, all kinds of things are always in rapid development and change. I am a doctoral student in the Department of Management Science and Engineering, School of Economics and Management, Dou Yifan. Like many graduate students here, this is my second time to attend the graduation ceremony of the School of Economics and Management. Compared with the undergraduate course, doctoral graduation is not only a change of hoodie color, but also marks that I have completed a special journey on the road of life. If the colorful campus life is the most memorable for undergraduate graduation, the most memorable for doctoral graduation is the days and nights spent in scientific research. Looking back on the past five years, in our busy and slightly monotonous study life, there are always some people and things that make us particularly grateful.

Speaking of gratitude, the first thing to say is that the strict requirements and vigorous reforms in doctoral training have provided us with the leading scientific research platform and exchange opportunities in China. I remember the first time I participated in the doctoral academic forum, the college leaders took a whole day out of their busy schedule to learn more about the organizational details and assessment requirements of the forum, which promoted the continuous improvement and rapid standardization of doctoral training. During his doctoral studies, he took courses of academic masters such as Professor Patrick Bolton of Columbia University. With the full support of the college, I spent my fourth year of doctoral study in the United States. For us, the word tutor not only represents the guidance of academic knowledge, but also is a model of scientific research spirit and a friend in work and life. I remember that when I first arrived in the United States a few months ago, the scientific research cooperation with the United States did not go smoothly. Teacher Chen wrote an email asking about my progress, and I was embarrassed. Finally, I can only write an apology letter and admit that I didn't do anything. I didn't expect to receive a long reply from Mr. Chen soon, which helped me analyze the problem, clear my mind and warmly encouraged me to continue my efforts. When I read the email, I seemed to see a familiar figure of Mr. Chen in front of my eyes. In the dim light of night, in the Waylon Building, the familiar lighted window, Mr. Chen used his unskilled typing method to slowly knock down this long and encouraging email to encourage me to stay on the other side of the ocean. Mr. Chen is just an ordinary member of many excellent teachers in economics and management, and all teachers' long-term concern and support for students is also the driving force and guiding light for every doctoral student to advance on the road of scientific research.

I remember that at the postgraduate entrance examination ceremony, Dean Qian gave us the word scientific spirit, encouraging us to think diligently and study tirelessly. First of all, I sincerely congratulate the students on completing all the requirements of the second degree in economics and obtaining the second bachelor's degree in economics in Tsinghua University.

The graduates of "Shuangjing" class are the fourth graduates of the second degree in economics since the enrollment of our college in 20__, and the number of graduates this year is *** 127. So far, our second degree program in economics has graduated for four times with nearly 400 students. Starting from the first graduate of the School of Economics and Management in 20__, I decided to hold a graduation ceremony for everyone. Although you all have your own departments where your first degree is located, you are also students of the School of Economics and Management, and from now on you will become alumni of the School of Economics and Management.

In the 1980s and 1990s, the School of Economics and Management and other departments of the school jointly organized some double-degree programs, including a double-degree in business administration. But in the late 1990s, the university system was changed from five years to four years, so it was cancelled. Since 20__, the college has started to offer the second bachelor's degree in economics, which is one of the earliest departments to resume the second bachelor's degree. So far, 150 people have been recruited every year, and 300 people have been recruited every year since this year. The second degree program of economics is an important item of undergraduate education in our college, which is highly valued by our college.

The second degree in economics trains high-level compound talents with both economic knowledge and solid professional quality. Through systematic and rigorous training for non-economics majors in the first degree, students can have a broader vision, profound thinking and rigorous analysis of economic problems in their professional fields and other fields, and lay a foundation for their future work or other occupations related to economics. Practice has proved that the second degree is of great significance in broadening undergraduates' knowledge horizons, cultivating students' thinking habits according to economic laws, and improving students' economic management ability. I want to thank my parents.
