First, the preparation before going to the airport

In China, identity cards are essential; Hong Kong and Macao should bring more Hong Kong and Macao passes (not expired); You need to bring more passports (not expired) when you go abroad.

2. Check whether the luggage is overweight.

Items that can be carried with you (taking Air China as an example):

First class and business class passengers are allowed to carry two personal belongings each, and the weight of each item shall not exceed 8 kg (17 lb); Each economy class passenger can take one carry-on item, and the weight shall not exceed 5 kg (1 1 lb).

The length, width and height of each carry-on article shall not exceed 55cm (22 inches), 40cm (16 inches) and 20cm (8 inches) respectively, so as to be placed in the closed luggage rack above the aircraft cabin or below your front seat. If it cannot be placed in the above way, or because it is overweight, oversized, or for safety reasons, it should be transported as checked baggage.

If the carry-on baggage exceeds the standard, passengers need to buy a seat-occupying baggage ticket, such as cello, if they must bring it into the aircraft cabin. The fare is calculated according to the normal fare.

Luggage consignment regulations:

(1) Weight limit: The weight of each piece of luggage must be greater than or equal to 2 kg (4 lbs) and less than or equal to 32 kg (70 lbs). Checked baggage over 32kg (70lb) must be divided into two pieces.

(2) Size limitation: The sum of the length, width and height of each ordinary checked baggage must be greater than or equal to 60 cm (24 inches) and less than or equal to 203 cm (80 inches including pulleys and handles).

Free checked baggage

(1) The free check-in limit of ordinary luggage for passengers with adult or child tickets is: 40 kg (88 lbs) for first class, 30 kg (66 lbs) for business class and 20 kg (44 lbs) for economy class. ?

(2) The free check-in limit of ordinary luggage for passengers with baby tickets is 10 kg (22 lbs). You can also check in a folding stroller or cradle for free. ?

3. prohibited items.

4. Set out for the airport.

Usually, the flight has to board the plane 30 minutes in advance, so it is necessary to calculate the time and arrive at the airport 1~2 hours in advance to avoid any problems on the way.

Make it clear which terminal you want to go to by car on the road. There are several terminals in the airport now, and the distance between the terminals is still far away. Don't go the wrong way and waste time.

You can also take the nearby airport bus stop, or you can go to the air ticket office in the city first, where there is usually an airport bus.

Second, the airport boarding process

1, check the certificate

If you forget to bring your ID card, you can go to the airport terminal police station to handle the temporary id card, or you can use the self-service machine.

Step 2 get a boarding pass

Go to the self-service machine, don't worry, there will usually be staff to help guide.

(2) Check-in procedures

Find the airline counter of the ticket (boarding pass is also required for paper tickets). If you can't find it, you can ask at the service desk.

Just give your ID card to the staff at the reception desk. If you don't choose a seat online, you need to tell the staff and he will help you find the seat you want. (Hong Kong and Macao passes and passports are required for Hong Kong and Macao routes or international routes).

(3) Consignment

If there is no big luggage, this part will be skipped. There will be a slide next to the boarding pass counter. Just put your luggage on it (please take your computer, charging treasure and other battery items with you). The staff will stick the consignment note on the ticket.

Step 3 pass the security check

(1) Line up to enter the security desk. If someone is dealing with it, please stand outside the yellow line. Show your ID card or passport and boarding pass, face the camera and wait for the staff to confirm the information. After confirmation, the staff will stamp the boarding pass and return it to you.

(2) Get your boarding pass back, and you can go directly to the security checkpoint. Take out the electronic equipment and metal objects respectively, and put the personal package into the security inspection track. When I enter the security gate, the staff will check you with a hand-held security scanner. (Drinks and the like may require you to take a few sips in person, so you'd better not bring them when you enter the security check. Don't worry about thirst, there will be a free water dispenser in the terminal.

Step 5 wait for the plane

There are usually obvious signs when you leave the security check. Find the location according to the boarding gate number of your boarding pass. Waiting for boarding at the boarding gate, there will be a broadcast notice before boarding.

Step 6: board the plane

After hearing the broadcast, everyone began to line up. A staff member checked in at the boarding gate. He will tear up the copy of the boarding pass and return the rest. If there is checked baggage, be careful not to lose it. Generally, it is attached, and sometimes it may be scraped off if you are not careful. )

After boarding, enter the boarding passage and board the plane directly. Only one paragraph, all very short. Generally, there are no mistakes. If you don't understand, you can follow the crowd.

7. Seats

Your boarding pass indicates your location, such as 9E, 15C, etc. Which line does the number represent? Each line is arranged according to A, B, C, D, E and F, such as 9E, which is the E position of the ninth line. The seat number on the plane is marked on the bulkhead (above the seat) where the luggage is placed.

8. Arrive at the destination and pick up the luggage.

After getting off the plane or car ferry, there will be a sign indicating the location of the baggage claim area (baggage claim or baggage claim in English). Don't panic if you can't find it. Just follow the crowd or ask the staff.
