March 24th, 20 12 is the17th World Tuberculosis Day, and the publicity theme of our country is: "You and I * * * participate together to eliminate the harm of tuberculosis". In order to do a good job in this year's "World Tuberculosis Day" publicity activities and promote the implementation of the National Tuberculosis Prevention and Control Plan (20 1 1-20 15), relevant matters are hereby notified as follows:

First, around the theme of publicity, strengthen the core information publicity of tuberculosis prevention and treatment.

Local health departments should closely focus on this year's publicity theme, formulate publicity plans and organize publicity activities. It is necessary to take the World Tuberculosis Day as an opportunity to report the current situation of local tuberculosis prevention and control work and strive for policy support; It is necessary to widely publicize the knowledge of tuberculosis prevention and treatment and the policy of benefiting the people in this regard. All localities should actively cooperate with education, radio and television, women's federations, the Red Cross, human resources and social security, railways and other departments to publicize the core information of tuberculosis prevention and control, and create a good atmosphere for the whole society to participate in tuberculosis prevention and control.

Two, the use of various media forms, strengthen the publicity of tuberculosis prevention and control.

All localities should actively use various media forms to expand the publicity effect of tuberculosis prevention and control. Give full play to the role of television, radio, newspapers, internet, mobile phone messages and other media, carry out publicity on tuberculosis prevention and control, and expand the depth and breadth of publicity. The China Center for Disease Control and Prevention and the provincial centers for disease control and prevention should open the official Weibo of tuberculosis control in Sina.com and Tencent.com before March 24th, 20 12, and arrange special personnel to be on duty, and update at least two Weibo every day. All localities should closely focus on the core information and related knowledge of tuberculosis prevention and control, scientifically and accurately release the information of Weibo, and promptly answer relevant public questions. The Institute for Tuberculosis Prevention and Control of China Center for Disease Control and Prevention should do a good job in training before the opening of Weibo and provide technical support later.

The third is to organize millions of volunteers to spread the knowledge of tuberculosis prevention and treatment.

In order to mobilize more social forces to popularize knowledge about TB prevention and control, in March this year, our Ministry will jointly launch the "Ten Million Volunteers' Knowledge Dissemination Action on TB Prevention and Control" with Sina.com, Tencent.com, Baidu.com and Renren.com. All localities should actively cooperate with relevant work in accordance with the requirements of the Action Plan (see www.chinatb.org of China Tuberculosis Prevention and Control Network for details). It is necessary to publicize the activities by posting posters, holding press conferences and large-scale activities, recruiting volunteers extensively, and providing technical support for volunteers participating in the activities. Provincial, municipal and county-level TB prevention and control institutions should designate 1 liaison officers to be responsible for the specific implementation of activities in their respective jurisdictions.

All provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities) are requested to conscientiously sum up the publicity activities of World Tuberculosis Day in their respective regions, and report to the Bureau of Disease Control and Prevention of our Ministry in written form before April 20, 20 12.
