Jurong Maoshan Scenic Area is a famous AAAAA tourist attraction in Zhenjiang, but the epidemic in China has become more and more serious recently. In order to ensure the safety of citizens and tourists, Jurong Maoshan Scenic Area will temporarily suspend the opening of indoor places in the scenic area. See below for details.

Introduction to Jurong Maoshan Scenic Area in Zhenjiang

Jurong Maoshan Scenic Area is located 20 kilometers southeast of Jurong City. It is lined with Damao Peak, Ermaofeng and Sanmaofeng from south to north. , the highest peak (main peak) Damao Peak is 372.5 meters above sea level. Maoshan is the birthplace of the Shangqing sect of Taoism. Its original name is Qushan. It was named Maoshan because it was practiced by three Shaanxi brothers Mao Ying, Mao Gu and Mao Zhong during the Western Han Dynasty. Ge Hong of the Eastern Jin Dynasty and Tao Hongjing of the Southern Dynasties both practiced in Maoshan. There are Taoist temples all over the mountain. Although they are ancient, they survived the war. Now, most of them have been rebuilt in modern times. Among them, Xiaojiuwanfu Palace and Fuyuan Wanning Palace are more famous, collectively known as "Maoshan Taoist Temple".

Maoshan is located at the junction of Jurong City and Jintan City, bounded by Jiuwanfu Palace on the top of Damao Mountain, with Jurong Guan in the west and Jintan Guan in the east. In fact, the so-called Jurong Maoshan and Jintan Maoshan refer to the same Maoshan. The main attractions in Maoshan include the Jiujiuwanfu Palace, both in Jurong, concentrated on the top and north slope of Maofeng. There is a sightseeing bus at the main gate of Jurong Maoshan (Maoshan West Gate) to take tourists to the entrance of Jiujiuwanfu Palace, and there are also platforms at other attractions. It is recommended to take a sightseeing bus, because the scenic spot is relatively large, and it takes 1-2 hours to walk to the top of Damao.
