Who is Ukraine at war with?

The border guards of Ukraine and Russia and the Middle East, Central Asia, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan exchanged fire in the border areas of the two countries.

On February 24th, 2022, local time, the Ukrainian State Border Service and the Ministry of Internal Affairs indicated that Russian military equipment, including armored vehicles, crossed the border and entered chernigov, Samui, Lugansk and Kharkov.

Since February 17, 2022, the situation in eastern Ukraine has deteriorated, and the Ukrainian government and local civilian armed forces have accused each other of launching provocative shelling on the contact line. On February 18, civilian armed forces in eastern Ukraine announced that they would evacuate local residents to Russia on a large scale from now on because of the danger of Ukraine launching military operations. On the evening of February 26th, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed an order recognizing the "Donetsk People's Republic" and "Lugansk People's Republic" in eastern Ukraine.
