How to change the home button on iPhone 5

1. Make sure the phone is turned off before disassembling it, and use a pentalobe screwdriver to remove the two 3.6mm pentalobe screws on both sides of the lightning data interface.

2. Lift the screen above the origin.

3. Make sure the suction cup is holding the screen tightly, pull the suction cup up, and then insert the spudger between the screen and the back cover.

4. Continue to slide the spudger to separate the metal feet on the left and right sides of the screen from the back cover.

5. When the metal feet are completely separated from the back cover, lift the screen from below. Do not lift it from above to avoid breaking the cable and scrapping the screen.

6. Remove the screws (2 1.2mm Phillips screws and 1 1.6mm Phillips screw) that secure the screen to the motherboard.

7. Remove the iron piece that fixes the LCD screen.

8. Remove the three cables of the LCD screen.

Red: Front camera and sensor cables

Orange: Touch cables

Yellow: LCD cables

9. Remove the LCD screen from the back cover.

10. Remove the two 1.3mm Phillips screws fixing the origin iron plate.

11. Use your fingers to flick the origin iron piece to the right.

12. Press the origin point upward from the LCD side of the LCD screen to loosen the adhesive tape that fixes it to the screen.

13. When the origin is about to be separated from the LCD screen, use a pencil-shaped mobile phone pry bar to remove the origin. Pay attention to the origin rubber ring to avoid damage to it, thereby affecting the tightness and flexibility of the keys.

14. After replacement, install in reverse order.
