If it is inconvenient to download the application software to change the QQ password because you are not a smart phone, you can change it through SMS instructions.

However, it is necessary to confirm that the mobile phone number used to change the password is the security mobile phone of the current QQ number. You can enter your own QQ Security Center homepage to view the password-protected mobile phone. Click on the main menu of QQ to see the Security Center homepage, as shown below:

2. Then move the mouse to the password-protection tool above the navigation. Then select the security mobile phone, where you can see the currently bound mobile phone number, but only the first three digits and the last two digits of the number are displayed.

Then send a text message to this mobile phone number to change the QQ password.

For example: If your QQ number is 123456 and you need to change the password to 123abc, edit the text message gm#123456#123abc and send it to the corresponding command number.

4. If successful, the following prompt message will appear. If the sending code is wrong, it cannot be modified.

5. After the modification is successful, the QQ you logged in before will be disconnected, and an identity expiration prompt will appear on the QQ you logged in. Then re-enter the new password to log in.
