After Shang Dynasty, many emperors had set up national gods, among which Biganling was named the national god and officially gave his descendants the surname Lin. Wei Xiaowen's Emperor Tuoba Hong built a temple for Bigan, and Emperor Taizong wrote a letter about Bigan's "loyalty"; Song Renzong is a poem; Yuan Renzong erected a statue for Beagan; Mourning poems of the Qing emperor; Qing Xuanzong restored the main hall of Bigan Temple and so on.
