Mobile text message donation tree planting platform launched

On April 13, 2011, the "China Green Citizen Action - 10699969 mobile phone text message donation tree planting launching ceremony and green event" hosted by the China Greening Foundation "Public Welfare Ceremony" was held at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing. Lin Wenyi, Vice Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Taiwan League, and Consultant of the China Greening Foundation; Jia Zhibang, Deputy Director of the National Greening Council and Director of the State Forestry Administration; Zhu Lieke, Deputy Director of the State Forestry Administration; Wang Zhibao, Chairman of the China Greening Foundation; and Yang Jiping, Vice Chairman, Zhuo Rongsheng, vice chairman and secretary-general of the China Greening Foundation, Zhang Shigang, representative of the United Nations Environment Program in China, Shen Guofang, chief editor of "World Knowledge" Publishing House and former spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ma Zhengqi, member of the Standing Committee of the Chongqing Municipal Party Committee and executive deputy mayor, Dalian Vice Mayor Sun Guangtian and other leaders and more than 400 people from all walks of life attended the launching ceremony.

With the support of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Ministry of Finance, the State Administration of Taxation, the State Forestry Administration and other departments, the three major telecommunications companies, China Mobile, China Unicom, and China Telecom, have successfully launched the 10699969 mobile phone greening public welfare SMS Donation code. More than 600 million mobile phone users across the country can directly make public welfare donations to green the motherland at any time through the 10699969 SMS code. The China Greening Foundation specially hired the famous singer Zhang Liangying as the promotional image ambassador for tree planting through text message donations. Using "China Green Citizen Action" as the brand platform and the promotion concept of "people think greening is responsible", it has carried out an in-depth citizen text message donation and tree planting program.
