Penalty for violating epidemic prevention regulations

There are two punishment methods for violating epidemic prevention regulations, one is public security punishment, and the other is criminal liability. The specific punishment method to be applied must be judged based on the actual situation. There are problems of spreading rumors and falsely reporting the epidemic, and the parties involved may be fined or detained.

(1) Public Security Punishment

1. Those who spread rumors and falsely report the epidemic situation shall be punished for not less than five days in accordance with the provisions of Article 25, Paragraph 1, of the "Public Security Management Punishment Law" If detained for less than ten days, a fine of not more than five hundred yuan may be imposed; if the circumstances are relatively minor, a person may be detained for not more than five days or fined not more than five hundred yuan.

2. For those who violate national regulations by manufacturing, trading, storing, transporting, mailing, carrying, using, providing, and disposing of dangerous substances such as infectious disease pathogens, they will be punished according to Article 30 of the "Public Security Administration Punishment Law" According to the provisions of this article, the person shall be detained for not less than ten days but not more than fifteen days; if the circumstances are relatively minor, the person shall be detained for not less than five days but not more than ten days.

3. If dangerous substances such as infectious disease pathogens are stolen, robbed or lost and fail to report to the base as required, a five-day fine shall be imposed in accordance with Article 31 of the "Public Security Administration Punishment Law" Those who deliberately conceal and fail to report shall be detained for not less than five days but not more than ten days.
