Legal basis: Article 2 of the Regulations on the Organization of Police Stations has the following powers:

(seven) to protect the scene of major criminal cases and assist relevant departments in solving them;

(eight) to guide the work of the public security committee;

(nine) to carry out propaganda work among residents to improve revolutionary vigilance, abide by the law, observe public order and respect social morality;

(ten) actively participate in and assist residents' welfare related work.
