With the progress of society and the development of science and technology, the number of mobile phones in China is increasing. By the end of 2008, the total number of mobile phone users in China reached 616017000 [1]. In the university campus, mobile phone has become a mass media with a large coverage, and the negative influence of mobile phone culture has begun to appear, which has had a profound impact on college students' ideals and beliefs, value orientation, way of thinking, personality and psychological development, and brought new challenges to ideological and political work in colleges and universities. Taking the students of Ningbo Institute of Technology, Zhejiang University as the research object, we distributed 1205 questionnaires and recovered 1 133 valid questionnaires, with an effective recovery rate of 94%. The proportion of male and female students surveyed is 56.5% for boys and 43.5% for girls. The distribution of disciplines is 43.6% in liberal arts, 20.6% in science and 35.8% in engineering. The distribution of grades is 32.7% in Grade One, 365,438+0% in Grade Two, 2% in Grade Three, 65,438+04% in Grade Four and 0.3% in Grade Five. The author uses SPSS software to process all the questionnaire data.

I. Basic information

1. Mobile phones are basically popular among college students.

As a product of the information age, mobile phones are sought after by college students because of their fashion and convenience, and their popularity is very high. The survey shows that 98.9% of the students have mobile phones, and1.65,438+0% of the students don't have mobile phones yet. Some students even have multiple mobile phones or multiple mobile phone CM cards, 10.8% students have two mobile phones, 1.7% students have more than two mobile phones; 24.5% students have two mobile phone CM cards, and 3% students have more than two mobile phone CM cards.

2. College students' mobile phones are widely used.

In the eyes of college students, mobile phones are no longer traditional communication tools, and the frequency of using short messages is very high. New functions such as mobile Internet access and mobile games are gradually favored. The survey shows that the use of college students' mobile phones is multiple, mainly in four aspects: making phone calls, sending text messages, surfing the Internet and playing games. Contact objects are mainly family members, relatives, classmates, friends and teachers.

3. College students spend more and more mobile phones.

With the continuous improvement of social living standards, the consumption level of college students is also rising gradually. According to the survey, the monthly living expenses of college students are between 500-800 yuan (29.6%), 800- 1000 yuan (36%) and 1000- 1500 yuan (7.7%). Mobile phone consumption has become an indispensable part of college students' daily expenses. In order to seize the university market, China Mobile and China Unicom have launched preferential package services to "bundle" college students' consumption. 95.5% of the students joined the package provided by the operator. In the monthly mobile phone consumption, 56.3% of the students are between 50 yuan and 50 yuan, 28.2% are between 50- 100 yuan, 0.9% are between 165438+65438+200 yuan, and 3.6% are boys.

4. College students use mobile phones for a long time.

The author made a survey on the time that college students use mobile phones every day (including making phone calls, texting, surfing the Internet, playing games, etc.). ). The results show that 3 1.3% of them spend more than 2 hours, 28.3% spend between 1-2 hours, and 37.9% spend less than 1 hour, and basically do not take the initiative to use mobile phones. There are differences in different grades. The higher the grade, the less time they spend using their mobile phones every day. Boys use mobile phones slightly more than girls, and arts students are slightly higher than science and engineering students. The main uses of college students' mobile phones are making phone calls, texting, surfing the Internet and playing games. The survey shows that 1 1% of college students spend more than 1 hour on the phone every day, and 25. 1% spend 30 minutes to1hour, of which 35.6% spend less than 30 minutes on the phone and basically don't call. Mobile phone short messages are nicknamed "thumb culture" [2], which is very popular among students. Students who sent short messages below 100 accounted for 15.3%, those between 100-300 accounted for 20. 1%, and those between 300 and 500 accounted for 265,438+. Mobile Internet access is becoming more and more popular, with 72.4% students offering monthly packages, 22.6% students surfing the Internet by mobile phone for more than 1 hour every day, 60.2% students have it within 1 hour, and only 17.2% students basically do not use mobile phones to surf the Internet. Mobile games are gradually favored by students because of their novelty, strong interest and convenient use.

Second, the existing problems

1. Mobile phones have a certain impact on the normal teaching order in colleges and universities.

The primary task of college students is to finish their studies, but some students can't resist the temptation of mobile phones because of their poor self-control ability, so they can't help playing mobile phones in class. According to the survey, 23.7% students often play mobile phones in class, 565,438+0.9% students occasionally play mobile phones, and only 24.4% students say they can hardly. With the increase of grade, the proportion of students playing mobile phones in class is increasing. Among freshmen, 9.4% often play mobile phones in class, and 22.3% in senior three. The proportion of liberal arts students using mobile phones in class is significantly higher than that of science and engineering students. The mobile phone often rings in class. 16.6% students think that they often hear it, and 70.3% students say that they occasionally hear it. 50.7% of the students gave a positive answer about whether the ringtone will affect classroom teaching during class. At the same time, in recent years, it is not uncommon for colleges and universities to find that college students cheat by using mobile phones. Mobile phones are having a certain impact on the normal teaching order in colleges and universities, affecting the teaching effect.

2. Mobile phones are gradually changing college students' lifestyles and ways of thinking.

With the popularity of mobile phones among college students, the "Thumb Clan" is gradually becoming a landscape in the university campus. No matter in the classroom, dormitory, canteen, or during recess, self-study and rest, students can see the scene of using mobile phones, and mobile phones have become their best partners and friends in life. According to the survey, 84% students carry their mobile phones with them every day, 14.5% students occasionally carry their mobile phones, and only 1.5% students said that they would not carry their mobile phones with them in class. At the same time, because of the convenience and confidentiality of sending and receiving short messages and chatting online, college students can express their ideas and opinions at will, including irresponsible remarks, which leads to the gradual decline of college students' sense of integrity and responsibility. The widespread use of mobile phones among college students is gradually changing their way of life and thinking.

3. The negative influence of mobile phones on college students' personality and psychological development has appeared.

With the growth and development of mobile phone family, some college students have a strong sense of dependence on mobile phones. In the survey, the author passed "How would you feel if your mobile phone was broken or lost one day?" In response to this problem, 64.5% of students think that "there seems to be something missing around them, and their hearts are empty", 30% of students "feel a little anxious", 20.8% of students think that "nothing is different" and 8.5% of students think that "no one will bother me", which shows that some students have a high sense of dependence on mobile phones. Once the mobile phone is lost one day, college students are prone to anxiety, irritability, depression and other emotions. At the same time, indulging in mobile phones will make introverted students become more withdrawn, unsociable and out of the normal life circle, leading to the formation of autistic personality. Excessive use of mobile phones is not conducive to the personality development of college students and hinders the formation of their healthy psychology.

4. The negative influence of the spread of junk information on the ideological and moral construction of college students can not be ignored.

Almost everyone who owns a mobile phone has been harassed by spam messages, and college students are no exception. The survey shows that 40% students often receive spam, 50.5% students occasionally receive spam, and only 9.5% students basically never receive spam. The contents of spam are varied, including false news that undermines stability and unity, vulgar and unhealthy information, and promotional information. The spread of junk information subtly corrodes college students' moral concepts and values, and weakens their moral consciousness and sense of responsibility. It is worth mentioning that some students even participated in the spread of spam. In the survey, it was found that 3.6% of the students said that they often sent messages containing unhealthy content to their classmates and friends, 12.5% occasionally, and only 48.5% of the students said that they had never spread spam.

5. Mobile phones stimulate college students to compare consumption, encourage vanity and increase family burden.

Many college students pay more attention to the brand and purchase price of mobile phones out of the pursuit of fashion and the psychology of comparing with each other. According to the survey, the four famous brands of mobile phones, Nokia, Motorola, Samsung and Sony Ericsson, account for 78.4% of college students' consumption share, and the purchase prices of mobile phones are 36. 1% and 1000-65438+ respectively. Domestic mobile phones are almost ignored by students because of their poor appearance, low price and incomplete functions. College students' consumption of mobile phones by comparison is easy to cultivate bad vanity and wrong consumption concept, which will increase the economic burden of families.

Three. Countermeasures and suggestions

College students are very valuable human resources, the hope of the nation and the "future" of the motherland [3]. Strengthening and improving the ideological and political education of college students in an all-round way and cultivating qualified builders and reliable successors of the socialist cause are the core contents entrusted by the party to the ideological and political work in colleges and universities. Under the new situation, ideological and political workers in colleges and universities should pay enough attention to the "double-edged sword" of mobile phone media, actively respond to the new challenges brought by mobile phones to ideological and political work, build a management and guidance mechanism, reduce the negative impact of college students' use of mobile phones, actively occupy the new carrier and platform of ideological and political work in colleges and universities, explore new models, and strive to achieve the goal of educating people in colleges and universities.

1. Strengthen the education of college students' socialist core values and actively advocate the concept of healthy use of mobile phones.

College students are in a critical period of forming their world outlook, outlook on life and values. Facing the negative influence of mobile phones, ideological and political workers should correctly understand, clearly advocate the education of socialist core values among college students, strengthen the education of socialist concept of honor and disgrace, profoundly influence students' ideological understanding, thinking consciousness and behavior mode, help them establish a correct world outlook, outlook on life and values, and improve the effectiveness of ideological and political education. In the survey, it is found that 72. 1% of college students agree with the view that "excessive use of mobile phones is harmful to health", which shows that many college students actually know that excessive use of mobile phones will be harmful to their physical and mental health, 30.4% of them think that their frequency of using mobile phones affects their study life, and 8 1.9% of them are full of expectations for strengthening management and guidance in schools. Actively advocating the concept of healthy use of mobile phones is out of the needs of the specific growth background of contemporary college students and also meets the needs of college students' self-demand. At the same time, ideological and political workers should, through positive guidance and education, enable college students to enhance their ability to distinguish right from wrong and their psychological endurance, help them develop the moral consciousness of using mobile phones, strengthen the spiritual education of diligence and thrift, advocate a reasonable consumption concept, and help them eliminate the consumption psychology of comparing with others, get rid of vanity, and develop a healthy, reasonable and practical consumption concept.

2. Create a high-grade campus culture and enrich the cultural life of college students.

Colleges and universities should attach importance to the construction of campus culture with the core of cultivating college students' scientific spirit and humanistic spirit, such as campus humanities lecture hall, community culture festival and student science and technology competition. Brilliant campus culture can attract college students to participate in it extensively, so that students can constantly feel the university life in the participation, and strengthen the education of college students' humanistic quality and moral consciousness through entertaining. At the same time, colleges and universities can combine the personality characteristics of college students to carry out some targeted activities, such as the "Touching-the First National Youth Network SMS Contest" organized by Publicity Department of the Communist Party of China and the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League, advocating civilized use of mobile phones [4], so that college students can receive education through participation, get rid of their dependence on mobile phones in colorful campus cultural life, and develop good habits of rational use of mobile phones.

3. Strengthen management and standardize the behavior of college students using mobile phones.

In order to achieve orderly teaching order and effective teaching effect, schools can formulate relevant rules and regulations, strengthen management, and regulate the use of mobile phones by college students. For example, in order to prevent students from cheating by using mobile phones, the administrative department can formulate relevant systems, explicitly prohibit students from bringing mobile phones into the examination room, increase penalties for violations, and ensure the good operation of teaching order from the system. At the same time, in order to prevent college students from using mobile phones in class as much as possible and affect the teaching quality, the management department can adopt the principle of combining compulsory requirements with active measures. Teachers are required to stop students from using mobile phones in class, and measures such as "Don't bring mobile phones into the classroom" and "We need a quiet learning environment" are carried out in poster columns where people in classrooms and canteens are concentrated, so as to purify the classroom teaching atmosphere and improve the teaching quality.

4. Actively explore and build a new platform for ideological and political education in colleges and universities.

Facing the negative influence of mobile phone culture, ideological and political workers should keep pace with the times, take the initiative to occupy this increasingly important information dissemination position, and strive to build the mobile phone platform into a new carrier of ideological and political work in colleges and universities, and inject new connotations into ideological and political work in colleges and universities. Colleges and universities can make use of the authenticity of information transmitted by college students through mobile phones, grasp their ideological trends, and use the mobile phone short message platform built by schools to carry out targeted education. Some colleges and universities have established short message platforms and tried to communicate with students by using short message platforms. For example, in Ningbo Institute of Technology, Zhejiang University, 78% of college students have received short messages from the school's short message platform. Faced with this new communication channel, 63. 1% students welcomed it, while only 6.9% students opposed it. Ideological and political workers can combine current affairs and politics at home and abroad, typical cases in study and life, and other things that college students are interested in, make use of the interactive function of short message platform, educate college students on ideals and beliefs and guide them in scientific life planning through thematic education and thematic publicity, and give full play to the new role and function of the new platform.

5. Strengthen the monitoring of operators and strengthen the management of bad information from the source.

University management departments should strengthen communication and cooperation with government departments [5], increase the monitoring of operators, strictly investigate the bad information flowing into college students' mobile phones, and strengthen the management of junk information from the source. Schools should set up a hotline to report bad information in schools, and if they find bad information, especially junk information that undermines stability and unity, which is vulgar and unhealthy, they should take immediate measures to delete it in time and trace the source through government departments to deal with it. At the same time, the school should limit the unscrupulous business promotion activities of operators, create a good campus atmosphere, and lay a solid foundation for realizing the educational goals of colleges and universities.
