How to set up split screen on mobile phone

If you are using a Huawei mobile phone, take the Huawei Mate 40 mobile phone as an example:

1. Turn on split screen:

1. After opening an application , on the left or right side of the phone screen, slide the screen from outside inward and pause to bring up the smart multi-window application bar.

2. Long press and drag the application icon in the application bar to the screen to enable split screen.

2. Split-screen swap:

Long press the horizontal bar at the top of the split-screen window until the split-screen window shrinks, and then drag the window to another split-screen window.

3. Exit split screen:

Some applications do not support split-screen display.

Only two split-screen applications can be used at the same time.

4. Quickly drag between split-screen applications

After opening a split-screen application, you can directly drag images, text or documents between applications.

1. Drag and drop pictures: For example, when editing a memo, open the file management and select a picture, and then drag it to the memo editing page.

2. Drag and drop text: For example, when sending a message, open the memo at the same time and long press and select the required text. Press and hold again to drag it to WeChat.

3. Drag and drop documents: For example, when editing an email, open the file management and select a document, and drag it to the email.

Some applications do not support dragging between applications.

5. Add, move or remove split-screen applications

1. Add an application: Bring up the smart multi-window application bar, click the plus sign, click the application to be added, and click Done .

2. Mobile application: Bring up the smart multi-window application bar, click the plus sign, long press the application icon in the application bar and drag it to move it to any position in the application bar, click to complete.

3. Remove the application: Bring up the smart multi-window application bar, click the plus sign, click the minus sign in the upper right corner of the application icon in the application bar to remove the application, and click Done.

6. Switch between split screen and floating window

1. Switch split screen to floating window: When the phone is in portrait orientation, long press the horizontal bar at the top of the split screen window to the left or right Swipe to switch to a floating window; when the phone is in landscape orientation, press and hold the bar at the top of the split-screen window and slide down to switch to a floating window.

2. 7. Open multiple windows of a single application

You can open multiple task windows of a single application (such as email, memo), and drag pictures, text or document.

Some applications do not support this function, please refer to the actual situation.

1. Open the multitasking window of a single application in split screen.

Open a task window in the Mail application.

On the left or right side of the phone screen, slide the screen from outside inward and pause to bring up the smart multi-window application bar.

Long press and drag the Mail application icon in the application bar to the screen to open the multi-tasking window of the Mail application in split screen.

2. Quickly drag and drop between multitasking windows in a single application.

Drag and drop pictures: Select a picture from one mail task window and drag it to another mail task window.

Drag text: Press and hold from one email task window and select the text you want. Press and hold again to drag it to another email task window.

Drag and drop documents: Select a document from one mail task window and drag it to another mail task window.

8. Turn off smart multi-windows

The smart multi-window function is turned on by default. If you want to turn it off:

Go to Settings > Accessibility > Smart Multi-Window. Close the smart multi-window application bar.
