Received an application for retrial from the court. What process is this?

This is a retrial review process.

It is a review process in which the other party believes that the judgment of the case is wrong and applies to the court for a retrial. After receiving the application for retrial, the court must serve the application to the other party and inquire with both parties about the circumstances of the case in order to determine whether there are problems with the case and whether it needs to be retried.

Article 203 of the "Civil Procedure Law" stipulates: If a party applies for retrial, it shall submit a retrial application and other materials. The people's court shall send a copy of the retrial application to the other party within five days from the date of receipt of the retrial application. The other party shall submit written opinions within fifteen days from the date of receipt of a copy of the retrial application; failure to submit written opinions will not affect the People's Court's review. The People's Court may require the applicant and the other party to supplement relevant materials and inquire about relevant matters.
