Why can’t the message be sent?

If you are using a Huawei mobile phone, you can do it through the following methods:

1. Some text messages cannot be sent

For example, if you send a text message to the operator, if you send If successful, it means that the mobile phone cannot send some text messages.

1. Please check whether the text message contains sensitive words. If so, the other party will not be able to receive it after sending.

Please use test statements to send text messages to confirm whether they can be received normally. For example, send Hello, Thank you, bye and so on. If it can be received normally, it means that the text messages you sent before may contain sensitive words, and it is recommended that you avoid sending sensitive words.

2. Please confirm whether the fixed dialing service has been turned on

After turning on fixed dialing, messages can only be sent to contacts in the fixed dialing list and cannot be sent to other numbers. If you want to continue sending, please cancel the fixed dialing service:

Enter the dialing or phone settings in the upper right corner, click More> under Card 1 or Card 2> Fixed dialing> Turn off fixed dialing (Close The PIN2 code required during the process needs to be consulted with the operator).

3. If you are sending group text messages, it is recommended that you keep the device screen on or charging when sending group text messages.

4. If you are unable to send text messages to a certain short number (such as: 1066), please enter the settings, search for paid text message permissions, click to enter and find the information. It is recommended to set it to Ask.

2. All text messages cannot be sent

1. If your phone is currently using a 5G network, it is recommended that you pull down the shortcut switch panel to turn off the 5G switch and try again.

2. Third-party text messages may have compatibility issues. Please enter the settings, search and enter the default application, and set the information to the system default.

3. You can turn on and off airplane mode and try again after triggering the network.

4. If the SIM card is currently enabled for VoLTE, please enter the settings, search for VoLTE, turn off the VoLTE HD call switch and try again; if you do not find the VoLTE switch or the problem is not solved after re-turning the VoLTE switch on, we recommend that you Please contact the operator to re-enable the VoLTE function before trying.

5. If a "red exclamation mark" appears directly when sending a text message, please long press the text message that failed to be sent and select more; check the information details, contact the operator and feedback the error code.

6. Please check whether the SMS center number setting is normal:

(1) Please enter the settings in the upper right corner of the message and click Advanced; set the correct SMS center number in the SMS center (Telecom cards do not have SMS centers). If you do not know the SMS center number, please contact your operator to obtain the SMS center number and set it up.

(2) If the confirmation number is correct but the setting fails, it is recommended that you set the SIM card on another device. If the setting still fails, there may be a SIM card problem. It is recommended that you bring valid documents to the operator's business hall to replace the SIM card.

7. Please insert the SIM card into another mobile phone to check. If other mobile phones cannot send, it is recommended that you consult the operator.

3. If the above troubleshooting cannot solve your problem, it is recommended that you perform data clearing and restoration operations

1. Restore "Information" to the default settings

EMUI : Information > Three dots > Settings > Three dots, select Restore default settings below.

HarmonyOS: Information>Four dots>Settings>Four dots, select Restore default settings below.

2. Delete the data and cache of the message (the text message will not be deleted)

Enter settings, search for application management, find the message, and click Storage gt; Delete data.

3. Restore network settings

Enter settings, search for restore network settings, click Restore network settings (WLAN, Bluetooth and other related data will be deleted), and then try to see if you can send text messages.

Warm reminder: This operation will not delete data or files. It will only restore the settings of WLAN, mobile data network and Bluetooth (such as hotspot connection information, Bluetooth pairing information, etc.). Other phone settings will not be restored.
