Preparation materials: My second-generation ID card and the photo receipt for social security issued by the photo studio (if your household registration is not local, only your ID card is enough for those with local household registration).

Go to the four major state-owned banks (Industrial and Commercial Bank of China, Agricultural Bank of China, Bank of China, China Construction Bank). The following takes Industrial and Commercial Bank of China as an example, and the same applies to other banks.

Processing steps:

Generally, when entering a company or unit, each employee will apply for social security. If the unit pays social security for you, the unit will also apply for a social security card for you. Of course , you can also go to the bank to apply for it personally. There are two types here: local and off-site. For example, when college graduates enter an employer, some files and household registration are transferred together; some files are transferred but the household registration is still at home; and some have not been transferred at all.

Those with a local household registration only need an ID card. If the household registration is not local, you can go to a photo studio nearby and you can issue a photo receipt. Just say that you are applying for social security. It is 15 yuan/copy, and you can get it immediately and add 5 Yuan, if you're not in a hurry, it's not necessary. You can get it back the next day.

Take the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China as an example. It will still work normally before 4 pm on Saturdays, but the bank will not work on weekends. Bring your personal ID card and photo receipt form for social security application, and fill in the business form and social security card application form. There are templates. If you don't know how to fill it out or don't understand, you can ask the lobby manager and related staff.

You can go to the processing point to get it back after one month. At that time, you will also be notified by mobile phone text message, asking you to go to the bank to get the social security card. When you get the card, the staff will ask you to set 2 passwords. One is your medical insurance card password. When you go to a pharmacy to buy medicines and swipe your card, or when the hospital makes reimbursements, you need to enter the password. There is money in it. The other password is equivalent to a bank card, which can deposit and withdraw money, and contains pension funds.

Pay attention to safekeeping and use in normal times. If you forget your password or enter an incorrect password and are locked, you need to take your ID card to the bank to reset your password.
