Celestial burial:

In 2005, the People's Government of Xizang Autonomous Region issued a notice on the Interim Provisions on the Administration of Celestial Burials. This is the third time since 1985 that the government of China has issued a circular and notice on the protection of Tibetan celestial burial, fully respecting and protecting celestial burial, a funeral custom with a history of thousands of years.

"Article 4 Celestial burial shall be protected by law. Any organization or individual is prohibited from engaging in the following activities:

(3) Watching, taking photos and videotaping the scene of celestial burial activities;

(four) through newspapers, magazines, books, radio, film and television, Internet and other media to publish, play, burn, reprint and render the text, pictures and reports related to celestial burial activities. ;

(five) the celestial burial platform as a tourist attraction to organize Chinese and foreign tourists to visit.

Tenth in violation of the provisions, causing serious consequences, the civil affairs and public security departments of the people's governments at or above the county level shall be punished according to law.
