The Ukrainian State Academy of Fine Arts was founded in 1917. Its full name is the Ukrainian State University of Fine Arts and Architectural Arts. The Ukrainian Academy of Arts and Sciences is also located in the school. The school is located in the center of the capital Kiev.

The Ukrainian State Academy of Arts is the highest art institution in Ukraine and one of the best art academies in the world and Europe. There were three best art academies in the former Soviet Union, namely: Moscow Academy of Fine Arts and St. Petersburg Academy of Fine Arts. Academy and the Kiev State Academy of Fine Arts, Ukraine. The school was founded by the first president of Ukraine, Mikhailo Gurshevsky. The school has recruited foreign students since its establishment. The school has weekly exhibitions of works, regular academic seminars on literature and art, and academic lectures. The school's art salon has a high reputation in the international art community. At the same time, the college attaches great importance to international academic exchanges. In addition to maintaining regular exchanges with brother institutions in the CIS, it also carries out cooperation and exchanges with art academies in France, Italy, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Germany, the United Kingdom, the United States and other countries.

Currently, there are international students and relevant experts from 26 countries studying and furthering their studies at the school. The college has signed contracts with employers of many companies. After graduation, students can directly go to work in many companies in Ukraine and other foreign countries. The school has strong teachers. Among the more than 160 teachers currently teaching, there are 21 academicians of the Academy of Arts and Sciences, 50 professors and postdoctoral fellows, 43 associate professors and doctors, 43 meritorious artists, 14 people's artists, and 2 people's architectural artists. The current president, Professor Tepitin, is also the president of the Ukrainian National Academy of Arts and Sciences. He is a famous people's artist and line drawing expert.

Teaching methods

Basic courses in the first year include language learning and basic painting techniques;

Academic system

The academic system of this college is generally 5.5-6 years, and students can obtain a master's degree and expert qualification certificate upon graduation. Three years of graduate school, training for associate doctorate (equivalent to doctorate in my country).

1. Degree education: five years of continuous study for bachelor’s and master’s degrees in the Department of Art History, six years for other majors, and two stages of architectural credits: four years for a bachelor’s degree and two years for a graduate degree (including 2 and a half months of internship), the above majors can obtain a diploma and a master's degree issued by the Ukrainian state.

2. Doctoral course (graduate school): 3 years

3. Short-term further study: the semester lasts from three months to one year. After graduation, a certificate from the Ukrainian National Academy of Fine Arts will be issued.

Fees

1) Studying painting history and painting theory courses costs US$2,000 per person per year

Academic system and related contents

One year for preparatory course, five and a half years for master's degree, and six and a half years for master's degree

The school’s relevant regulations for recruiting international students

1. Examination: International students must submit relevant works for review and pass relatively strict professional written examinations and interviews.

2. Preparatory course; the preparatory course lasts for one year, with a tuition fee of US$2,200. It mainly studies Russian language, while also learning basic knowledge and basic skills of relevant majors.

3. After graduating from the preparatory course, you can officially enter the department to study. Undergraduate tuition is $3,000 per year.

4. Undergraduate students who have graduated from art colleges in my country and apply to study for a master's degree in the college must also be selected and study for one year of preparatory courses while taking remedial courses. After one year, they will be inserted into four majors based on their actual level. Or study in the fifth grade. After two and a half or one and a half years, if you pass the exam and pass the thesis defense, you can obtain a master's degree. Fees for preparatory and undergraduate programs are the same as above.

5. Studying for an associate's degree: International students who have obtained a master's degree in the school or have an equivalent level and degree can enter the graduate school after review and approval by the relevant supervisor. Tuition fees are the same as undergraduate.

6. Chinese students and Ukrainian students enjoy equal rights in teaching and life. The international student apartment (10-15 minutes' walk from the campus) has two rooms for two people and is fully equipped with a dedicated kitchen. The school also has a canteen.
