Domestic enterprises:

1. China Post’s EMS,

Disadvantages: Slow response speed, difficulty in tracking queries.

2. SF Express,

Advantages: The speed of shipping to the Pearl River Delta is similar to EMS, and the price is lower than EMS.

A company from the Yangtze River Delta, originally started as a express delivery company around Shanghai, and now also operates in Beijing.

Advantages: Express shipments to the Yangtze River Delta are similar to EMS, and the price is also lower.

Disadvantages: Like SF Express, there are regional restrictions, and the quality of express delivery services to other regions is average.

4. Home Delivery

The largest private express delivery company in China has a network of more than 500 points, but most of them are cooperative networks. It is estimated that it has about 100 points of its own.

Advantages: The speed is similar to EMS, and even faster in some areas. Can also do freight.

Disadvantages: No express delivery of documents.

Foreign-funded enterprises:

Since last year, foreign-funded enterprises can also operate in the domestic express delivery market. Now global express delivery giants TNT and DHL are also opening domestic express delivery services.

Advantages: As a global express delivery giant, although it operates in China, speed is still the biggest selling point. Within their service outlets, the speed is much faster than EMS, and inquiries are also in place.

Disadvantages: The network is less, it can reach more than 100 cities, no documents are needed, the price is more expensive, DHL is much more expensive, shipping to Guangzhou is almost the same as shipping to Hong Kong. However, the price of TNT is similar to that of EMS, and in some cities it is even cheaper.

To sum up, here are some suggestions:

If your company often ships to small cities, then EMS is the first choice. It is worse for other companies to go to small cities.

If your company only ships to dozens of economically developed cities such as Shanghai and Guangzhou, I suggest you use TNT. It is different if you have strength, and it is really fast! That's what I use. DHL is also fast, but it's too expensive. Their road heavy stuff is also pretty good.

If you want to go to Shanghai or Guangzhou relatively cheaply, you can also choose to use SF Express or STO, but you will have to pay separately.

If you have dozens of tons of heavy goods, you can find China Railway or Home Delivery. Their railway lines are very reliable.
