How to charge for international roaming of China telecom network?

China Telecom charges different telephone charges to different countries. The traffic charges are the same in all European countries and regions, with the standard charge of 3 yuan /3MB and 25 yuan included. The tariffs of New Zealand, Cyprus, South Africa, Kuwait and Ecuador were reduced from 6 yuan /3M or 9 yuan /3M to 3 yuan /3M, with an average decrease of over 50% and the largest decrease of 60%.

In order to meet users' overseas roaming needs and enhance the user experience, China Telecom announced today that it will significantly reduce the charges for data traffic, calls and short messages for all 245 countries and regions that have launched international roaming services, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, starting from July 20th, 2005.

Main contents of international, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan roaming tariff adjustment:

1) Reduce the tariff of data roaming service.

Data roaming charges in 243 countries and regions have been adjusted, and all data traffic charges have been lowered to below 10 yuan /MB, with the largest drop of over 90%. At the same time, 3 yuan /3MB, 6 yuan /3MB and 9 yuan /3MB were introduced to 150 countries and regions.

2) Reduce roaming charges for voice and SMS.

245 countries and regions have adjusted voice roaming charges, and voice call charges have dropped by more than 90%. SMS roaming charges have been adjusted in 243 countries and regions. The biggest drop in SMS charges is over 80%.
