How to enter the year of publication in a word document?

The year in the official document number is enclosed in hexagonal brackets, such as "[2021]". How to insert "〔〕":

Insert → Symbol → Other Symbols in the menu bar to open the symbol dialog box;

Select "Normal Text" for the font, and "CJK Symbols and Punctuation" for the subset "Double-click directly, or click to select and click below to insert.

Note: "CJK symbols and punctuation" is different from "lowercase variant", see the arrow in the picture below. The difference:

The hexagonal bracket "〕" has a long and narrow shape. Hexagonal brackets can be used to indicate the year of publication or the words being annotated in the document number,

Example: Zhongfa [2019] No. 18; [Special] Weird and special.

The inner angle brackets "﹞" are thick and short in shape, indicating the author's nationality or dynasty. Square brackets or inner angle brackets can be used,

Example: [English] Shakespeare's "Tit for Tat" ;(Tang Dynasty) by Li Bai.
