The Central Meteorological Observatory continued to issue an orange warning of blizzard in the early morning of the 27th. From 27th to 28th, there was moderate to heavy snow or sleet in southeastern Henan, Jianghuai, northern Jiangnan, southeastern Hubei, north-central Guizhou, and most parts of Hunan. Blizzard caused flights, trains and automobile transportation to be blocked to varying degrees.

During the night of 26th to 27th, several expressways in Qiandongnan, tongren city, Zunyi and Qiannan were affected by freezing disaster. Nearly 100 road traffic accidents occurred in Guizhou Province on the 26th, most of which were rear-end accidents caused by slippery roads. On the premise of ensuring that the main traffic trunk lines are not closed, temporary traffic control is adopted for many roads in Guizhou due to freezing.

In Hubei, the real-time monitoring data of the meteorological department on the 27th showed that the snow depth in 20 counties and cities in the province exceeded10cm. The continuous freezing rain, snow and ice weather has a negative impact on transportation. Wuhan Tianhe Airport was temporarily closed because the runway friction coefficient was not up to standard due to snow and ice. 436 flights are planned for the 27th. By 15, 222 flights had been cancelled, causing some passengers to stay.

Meteorologists reminded that in rainy and snowy weather, transportation, railways, electric power, communications and other departments should strengthen the inspection and maintenance of roads, railways and lines, and do a good job in road cleaning and snow melting.
