How do you understand "ambiguity"?

I think there are two situations in general ambiguity. One is that two people like each other, and they just need to pierce the window paper and they will be together. But because both of them are shy, they are in an ambiguous state. There is also a situation where two people have a crush on each other, but for some reason they cannot be together. Both situations are possible. I think the latter ones are generally more common.
